What is the PTO?

The McDevitt Parent-Teacher Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of parent volunteers, teachers, and administrators who work together to support the learning environment of our students and teachers.  Our goals are to promote a sense of community spirit, provide an avenue to share information on school-related issues, and provide financial support for school needs, activities, and programs.

The PTO organizes and funds a variety of activities and social events:

Buses for field trips • Visiting authors & artists • School supply drives • Multicultural Night • Teacher Appreciation •  Scholarships for WHS Seniors • Restaurant Fundraisers • 8th Grade Yearbooks • Renaissance Program • Sledding Parties • End of Year Celebrations • Lunchtime Career Talks and more!

How Can I Help?

Every parent, guardian, teacher, and administrator is considered a valuable and necessary part of this school and is therefore invited to be actively involved in the PTO.  Your talents, your energy, and your voice are needed!  There are opportunities for involvement at many levels:

Attend monthly PTO meetings •  Volunteer your time, services, or make a monetary donation • Translate flyers or emails • Choose an event to help organize • Help reach out to other families and strengthen community connections • Reach out to businesses and corporations for tax-deductible financial support
